Karen Golden Russell
Karen Golden Russell has 20+ years of experience in healthcare organizations seeking to do well by doing good. She is passionate about improving health outcomes while reducing costs through software, informatics, medical devices, and clinical services.
Ms. Russell has held leadership roles at public, private equity-backed, and start-up companies serving healthcare insurers, providers, and consumers. Her diverse resume includes American Dental Partners, Philips Healthcare, Verisk Health Analytics (now Cotiviti), Joslin Diabetes Center (an affiliate of Harvard Medical School), and start-ups acquired by McKesson and Optum.
Ms. Russell’s consulting practice, GOLDPoint Healthcare LLC, specializes in the areas of multi-site operations, population health solutions, health economics & reimbursement, telehealth, post-acute care, and medication adherence.
Ms. Russell received an M.B.A. from Boston University, an M.A. from Northeastern University, and a B.A. from Boston College. She is a Fellow of HIMSS (Healthcare Information Management Systems Society), for which she has chaired multiple committees and has been a featured conference speaker. She is a member of Women Business Leaders in US Healthcare (WBL) and is a guest lecturer at Boston University’s Questrom School of Business.
