Steven W. Logan served as the CEO of Effective School Solutions (ESS), a national leader in adolescent behavioral health services, and previously, Mr. Logan served as the President and CEO of Satellite Tracking of People (STOP), the nation’s largest provider of GPS systems and services to corrections and law enforcement agencies, which was acquired by Securus Technologies.
Previously, Mr. Logan served as the Chairman of the Board, CEO and President of Cornell Companies (NYSE: CRN), the nation’s third largest private correction company. Cornell had approximately $300 million in annual revenue with over 4,000 employees. As CEO, Mr. Logan raised over $700 million during his tenure with Cornell through various combinations of public and private debt/equity transactions.
Previously, Mr. Logan served as Cornell’s Executive Vice President and COO, where he oversaw the company’s overall operating and personnel infrastructure, consisting of over 2,500 employees, and the management of what is now over 14,845 offenders within 72 facilities throughout 13 states.
Prior to becoming Executive Vice President and COO of Cornell, Mr. Logan served as the company’s Senior Vice President, CFO, Treasurer and Secretary.
Mr. Logan currently serves on the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) New Venture Clinic Advisory Committee. Mr. Logan also serves on the Boards of Directors of the Greater Houston Partnership, Citizens Against Lawsuit Abuse, Partners in Education, Texas Investment Forum Guest Lecturer Program and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Mr. Logan earned a B.B.A. in Accounting from Texas A&M University and has completed more than 1,500 hours of continuing professional education.
